Obsidian is a World of Warcraft guild on the US Nathrezim server. We formed nearly two years ago in order to progress through content in an efficient manner while maintaining a respectful and friendly atmosphere.

First and foremost, Obsidian requires mature and respectful behavior from its members. Insults and offensive language aimed at other members are not tolerated. We also do not tolerate begging in guild chat. We encourage members to collaborate and be helpful. The guild website is a great tool for scheduling events and seeking folks to help with quests and the like. Officers also welcome feedback from guild members through personal messages or posts on the website. We do expect that website discussion be kept respectful and mature.

We currently use an EPGP system for loot distribution. Our raid schedule is as follows:
Wednesday - Gear/Achievment runs in farmed content, Thursday and Saturday - Progression content.

So yet another achievement was ... well, achieved last night. It wasn't anything earth shattering, but hey it's still an achievement in the end.

EPGP point changes

The point values for things that earn you points are being shifted and hopefully the things you need to do to get points will be easier to understand.


Show up on time (on time = 10 min before raid start time)

3000 points (600 points awarded every 2 minutes for 10 min)

If you sign up AND show up on time (sign ups are due at least 1 hour before raid start time to be eligible)

4000 points

Be in the raid

500 points awarded every 15 minutes
50 points awarded for every achievement earned (multiplied by the number of people that earn the achievement)

Be there when the raid is called

1000 points

The only other thing to be aware of is that on Wednesdays all of the above will be in effect but with the following change:

Be in raid

400 points awarded every 15 minutes
100 points awarded for every achievement earned (multiplied by the number of people that earn the achievement)

Two Fer

Well at first it looked as if we weren't even going to be able to head into Ulduar, but then all of the sudden things came together rather quickly.

It took us three attempts on Flame Leviathan ... but that's because we did it on hard mode leaving up one tower. For our troubles we earned two [Emblem of Conquest] (instead of the Emblem of Valor we normally get) and the achievement [Orbital Bombardment].

We then proceeded to one shot Razorscale, XT, and Kologarn, and after 3 attempts we downed Auriaya for a guild first and several of us earned [The Antechamber of Ulduar] achievement.

So grats to everyone that was there!!!

This schedule will go into affect starting next week (the 22nd)

Wednesday: Gear/Achievements in farmed content
Thursday: Progression content
Saturday: Progression content
